Abell 370 cluster print tie
Abell 370 is a cluster of galaxies that lies approximately 4,000,000,000 light years away. You can see that some of the light sources in the cluster appear elongated; this is due to gravitational lensing, a phenomenon in which a large, dense object (like a black hole) is between a light source and an observer (us, on Earth) and bends light from the source.
Using high-resolution astronomical images, each tie starts life on my computer so I can place the most interesting parts of the cluster down the centre of the tie. I then get my designs custom-printed onto high-quality organic cotton in Europe. I make each tie by hand (and sewing machine!) in my Parisian apartment, before carefully packaging it in a beautiful branded box so it's ready to gift. You can choose to have your tie made from either super soft organic cotton sateen, or bright and shiny satin.
All my items are beautifully finished and are 100% hand made by me in my French studio.
