Scissors laser cut necklace.

This will be no surprise: I love sewing! And as a seamstress, I couldn't live without my trusty dressmaking scissors, so I've immortalised them in this awesome laser cut wooden necklace. They'll make the perfect treat for anyone who LOVES their scissors; seamstresses, tailors, hairdressers, scissor manufacturers...?!

I make each one right here in the studio; I digitally create the scissors design to replicate my absolute favourite pair of scissors. I then transform the design so they can be read by my laser cutter, which I’ve spent years tinkering with to make it both incredibly accurate and incredibly efficient. For these necklaces I use sustainably sourced cherry wood veneer, which I laser cut then sand and varnish by hand to make sure every piece looks beautiful for years to come. I hang each one on a silver-plated chainwith a lobster clasp closure, before carefully placing it onto a backing card and into a Cepheid Studio gift box; all packaging is plastic-free.

Please note that the grain of the wood varies between pieces and sometime features knots etc, so your piece of jewellery will be one of a kind.

Care tips:

This necklace is made from wood, so make sure it stays dry. No accidental trips in the washing machine, please!
The chain is silver plated, so to keep it in tip-top condition you should keep it away from soaps, makeup, perfumes, and other chemicals.
